Tell us about what you do.
I work on a dedicated three-person sustainability team on the public investments side, supporting both equities and fixed income, as a resource to help integrate and tailor ESG solutions into the investment process. In addition, I engage with investee companies on ESG issues and support Macquarie’s collaborative shareholder engagements like Climate Action 100+. I’m also very excited to be helping develop and build a methodology around our proprietary UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-aligned database.
Why did you join WIN?
I originally joined WIN eight years ago when I heard about it through my predecessor upon taking a new role. I had never been a part of a professional group focused on connecting others like myself within our industry, and I immediately felt engaged by the in-person programming and people I met.
What was your favorite WIN event?
It’s hard to pick one, as I love our annual holiday and summer socials that create such a special and fun environment. A special stand out to me was when we had Annie Duke, World Series Poker champion and author of Thinking in Bets, speak to us about making decisions when you don’t have all the facts.
What’s the most valuable thing you have learned in the last year?
I’ve learned the value of “slowing down,” being mindful and present, and how that can impact my overall energy and productivity in the workplace and beyond.
If you could give a piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Remember what my higher mission and values in life are, and be intentional about aligning my decisions to them.
