The Haverford Trust Company

Candice Ciesielski has been an engaged and enthusiastic member of WIN of Philadelphia for several years. From her time on the Programs Committee to her current role on the Membership Committee, she has contributed her energy, positivity, and welcoming spirit to the organization. Candice is known for connecting with new members, sharing thoughtful perspectives, and strengthening WIN’s programming. With a professional background that bridges finance, legal support, and estate planning, she brings adaptability, drive, and a genuine passion for community.

Building a Career with Heart

Candice began her professional journey in economics and finance before moving into legal support and estate planning, where she quickly learned to thrive under pressure. That early “trial by fire” gave her the confidence to adapt, the courage to advocate for herself, and the ability to support clients with empathy and care.

Today, she applies those same lessons at The Haverford Trust Company, where she specializes in estate planning and guides families through some of life’s most important decisions. Her work is grounded in integrity and a belief that professional success should always serve people as much as it serves business.

How did you first get involved with WIN?

I joined the Programs Committee, where I helped plan and support monthly events. It was a great way to learn more about WIN and connect with members on a deeper level. After a while, Tracy Musser encouraged me to move into the Membership Committee. She noticed how outgoing I was at events and thought it would be a natural fit. She was right. I love welcoming new members and helping them feel part of the community.

How did your career journey lead you to your current role at The Haverford Trust Company?

My background began in economics and finance, but I was drawn to the legal side of the field early in my career. I started as a legal secretary and soon found myself working in estate planning. It was very much a “trial by fire,” but those experiences taught me to adapt quickly, rely on mentors, and build the skills I still use today. At Haverford Trust, I specialize in estate planning and support clients through significant life milestones. It is incredibly meaningful to help people navigate complex situations with clarity and compassion.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

Gardening has become a true passion of mine. What began as a small project during the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into a favorite pastime and a source of creativity and peace. Whether planting new blooms or redesigning my garden beds, I love the process of creating beauty and balance in my daily life.

Family is also central to who I am. I treasure time with my parents, siblings, and extended family, many of whom share my love of the water and boating. Although I am deeply rooted in Philadelphia, I remain open to new adventures. Travel continues to inspire me, fuel my curiosity, and shape my outlook on life.

What keeps you engaged with WIN today?

The people. WIN has introduced me to an incredible network of women who are open, supportive, and willing to share their experiences. Every event leaves me with something valuable, whether it is practical advice, encouragement, or simply the reminder that I am not facing challenges alone. I love how mentorship happens so naturally here, often through conversations that are as uplifting as they are insightful. WIN feels less like a professional network and more like a true community.
