Effectively Navigating Change

Despite the challenges it can present, working through change presents an exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth. On Wednesday, March 18th,  Brandywine Global Investment welcomed WIN members for a compelling panel discussion called “Effectively Navigating Change” where we focused on exactly that challenge and the best way through it. Moderator Lauren Schenkel steered the engaging evening through a broad swath of topics. From how to implement change in a leadership position, to shifting one’s mindset to find opportunities when you’re in the thick of it, our wonderful panelists shared their insights. Stacey Crognale, co-founder of Greythorne Associates, spoke on her experience of navigating change as an ongoing practice, how those best prepared for change often built and maintained their network well in advance. Sue Ridgway of Hartford Funds encouraged attendees to resist professional inertia and to view change as an exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth. She pointed out that mindset can be a significant factor in how we process the challenges that accompany any change, and this small shift can greatly impact your outcome. While Susan Wilchusky of Brandywine Global Investment, highlighted that listening and receiving feedback can benefit engagement and encourage excitement when implementing change as a leader, presenting the chance for organizational growth and adaptation along the way. The discussion was abuzz with excellent questions from the audience too, while panelists shared their suggestions on how best to establish a strong foundation for weathering future-change for early-career individuals. A tremendous thank you to our gracious host, Brandywine Global Investment, for opening their doors for such an impactful discussion. Thank you to our wonderful panelists, Stacey Crognale, Sue Ridgway, and Susan Wilchusky, as well as our moderator, Lauren Schenkel. It was a memorable evening!
