Fewer, Shorter, Better: How to Present When Every Moment Counts

“If ever there were easy times for asset management sales and distribution professionals, those days are long gone.”

Greenwich Associates opened their report on Best Practices in Institutional Distribution with that statement in 2014.

Anyone think it has gotten easier since then?

Most of us would answer, “No.”  Searches for active mandates have declined.  Fee pressures, industry consolidation, and a desire on the part of plan sponsors to manage fewer relationships have resulted in awards to a dwindling number of firms.  Meanwhile, presentation time slots keep shrinking, giving us only 45 minutes… 30 minutes… even 15 minutes to explain what we do and why it matters.

As professionals, we know we need to adjust to remain competitive…but how?

We can’t control the fewer.  Trying to stop industry change is like trying to stop a freight train with an outstretched hand.  We can’t control the shorter.  Media-induced ADD has all but guaranteed that shorter attention spans will be a persistent challenge.  But we can control the better.

This talk will show you how.

Whether you deliver hour-long, formal presentations or 15-second, impromptu pitches, if you’re looking to grow your business, join us as Rose L. Galloway, CAIA, illustrates how the most effective presenters today develop clear and compelling messages that make every moment count.
