What is a servant leader? A servant leader is someone who shares power, puts the needs of employees first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible. And practicing servant leadership can lead to higher engagement, more trust and stronger relationships with team member as well as lead to increased innovation. It is not a leadership style, or technique, but a way of behaving.
In our June 24 program, Rhonda Cook, Chief Risk Officer for SEI Investments will guide us through her journey as a servant leader and how we can learn to apply the behavior to our own work and lives. Participants will hear about how Rhonda not only practices Servant Leadership in her role at SEI, but as a graduate of the United States Military at West Point, Rhonda’s experience as a Servant Leader also includes serving nine years as a Military Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army, with duty assignments in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
