It goes without saying that 2020 was a challenging year for so many reasons. and while we are excited to move on to 2021, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the Women in Investing Network highlights from last year and to thank our sponsors and leadership team that made it all happen.
After kicking off 2020 with two sold out events, WIN had to quickly reassess how to provide meaningful programs and networking in a virtual environment. Our Program Committee came up with new ways to provide programming to our members and expanded WIN’s offerings at a time when members needed additional support. In addition to our regular programs, WIN provided members with networking opportunities through coffee chats, trivia happy hours and our newly launched Young Professional Series.
Without our experienced, dedicated leadership team, WIN would not have been as successful in navigating 2020. A special thanks to Tracy Musser, WIN President, the Committee chairs, and all Committee members for your time and creativity. A special welcome to Yolanda Plaza-Charres who is joining the Board and Program Committee as Co-Chair. A special thank you to Maxine Dotseth who has served WIN in several leadership roles. She continues her journey leading WIN by transitioning from the Program Committee Co-Chair to a new role as the Membership Committee Co-Chair. The Committees are always looking for new members so if you are interested in participating on either the Marketing, Membership, Program or Sponsorship Committees, contact Colleen, our WIN Administrator at email@example.com.
WIN’s success in 2020 would not have been possible without the support of our long-time sponsors and we thank them for their continued sponsorship. We also welcome our newest sponsors – Archer, Vanguard and BB&T Foundations and Endowments.
While 2021 will continue to provide challenges, WIN’s calendar of events includes topics like packaging your personal presence, board readiness, global hot spots and trends and leading with strength. If you are not a member of WIN or have not renewed your membership for 2021, I encourage you to do so in order to take advantage of upcoming WIN events.
We look forward to seeing you – either virtually or in-person – at an upcoming WIN event.
