Marketing Specialist
Lincoln Financial Group

As part of the Women in Investing Network (WIN) of Philadelphia’s Member Spotlight series, we’re excited to feature Ella Ferris, whose journey with WIN reflects the power of community and connection. For Ella, involvement with WIN Philadelphia began as a way to connect with other professionals and grow alongside a supportive network of women in financial services. What started as curiosity has evolved into genuine engagement through Next Gen WIN, where Ella helps bridge connections between emerging professionals and established leaders. She also serves on the WIN Marketing Committee, contributing her strategic communication skills to help the organization tell its story and engage new members.

Finding Her Path

Ella’s journey into financial services reflects her determination and drive. After beginning her studies at the University of Tampa, she decided to take a more hands-on route by pursuing her associate degree while working at Overbrook Golf Club. There, she balanced work and school while building the professional network that would eventually lead her to WIN.

Since then, Ella has cultivated a career in marketing and communications within financial services, holding roles at Lincoln Financial, USLI, and Vanguard. In each position, she has demonstrated her talent for blending creativity and compliance, developing brand narratives that enhance client engagement and strengthen organizational alignment.

Building Connections Through WIN

When asked what inspired her to join WIN, Ella points to the organization’s ability to bridge experience levels and perspectives. “WIN is about creating space for the wisdom of younger to older,” she said. Whether through pickleball, golf, or structured networking sessions, she believes every event serves a unique purpose. “Each event brings people together socially, professionally, or personally, and that is where the magic happens.”

A Legacy of Mentorship

Ella’s story with WIN is also one of legacy. She recalls bringing her mother to a structured WIN event, a moment that reinforced what the organization stands for: growth, inclusion, and intergenerational learning. “Locking in your legacy,” she says, “means helping others find their place in the community, no matter their stage in life or career.”

Advice for the Next Generation

Reflecting on her career and time with WIN, Ella shares a simple but powerful mantra: “Everything is figureoutable.” Her advice to new or younger members is to approach every opportunity with curiosity and confidence, to raise their hand, take chances, and trust that every experience contributes to their growth.
